Jeff Smith, PA-C practices as a physician assistant at The Idaho Clinic and will primarily assist Dr Armstrong in the treatment and management of patients experiencing symptoms of both knee and hip arthritis as well as other complex issues. Jeff has worked alongside Dr Armstrong for the past five years in Adult Reconstruction. Jeff graduated from PA school at The University of Alabama-Birmingham Surgical Physician Assistant Program in 2000. Prior to PA school, Jeff served six-years active duty in the US Army as an orthopedic medic.
Jeff moved here to Boise in 2002 from Florida. In his 20 years as a PA, Jeff has always practiced in the field of orthopedics. He has treated patients and assisted in surgery in nearly all aspects of orthopedics to include general care, fracture management and trauma, sports medicine, spine, hand and upper-extremity, as well as foot and ankle. Jeff also previously owned and managed a private surgical assist practice here in Boise.
In his free time, Jeff can usually be found outside. He is most passionate about mountain biking and enjoys pedaling any of his SEVEN bicycles. He also enjoys paddle boarding, floating rivers, hiking, and trail running. In the winter, he enjoys both skate skiing and downhill skiing.
Jeff has two teenage children. He’s active in the community and enjoys all social interaction. He has served on several medical mission trips, traveling twice to India with Chapel Missions-India (treating orphans as well as patients with HIV and leprosy) as well as to El Salvador with OpWalk-Idaho where he assisted with 50 joint replacement surgeries on local under-privileged individuals.
Jeff is grateful for the opportunity to take care of all patients at The Idaho Clinic. He treats all patients like family and friends and is excited to help in your journey back to pain-free living.
